Who are we?

Summer School Press works with a group of experienced writers, many of whom hold qualifications specific to TEFL.

 

Cate Field is an artist, writer, and educator with over twenty years of experience in schools and colleges across England. Cate is a qualified teacher with an MA in Art & Design and Special Educational Needs. Her diverse expertise enriches her teaching, providing a creative and inclusive approach to education. Cate lives in Southwest England with her husband and two cats. She can be found on her YouTube channel @CateField and website CateField.com

 

Celia Jenkins is a freelance writer and teacher. She has a first class degree in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University. Celia spent several years teaching EFL abroad in China and Japan and now tutors online, predominantly in English literature and language, Japanese language and culture, and in EFL. She ghostwrites children's books and educational materials for Prime Press, Dinobibi, Foxton Books and other publishers.

 

Sasha Jenkins teaches EAL, IB Theory of Knowledge and Religion, Ethics and Philosophy with over 15 years teaching experience in three countries. He holds a BA in Philosophy, an MA in Political Theory, a CELTA and a PGCE. He has produced and implemented many resources in his different roles and has specialised in teaching East-Asian learners of English, having lived and taught in Japan and China.

 

Fraser Newham is an experienced teacher of History and Politics. He has worked at schools in China, Japan, France and the UK, most notably at Merchiston Castle School in Edinburgh where he was Assistant Head (Academic). He is widely published as a writer and content creator. He has worked for Hodder Education, Education Scotland, Inbox Education and was a producer of the ChinaClubHQ TV Show. Articles written by Fraser have also appeared in The Guardian and History Today.

 

Graham Senior is an insomniac Geography teacher, resource creator, pianist, composer and maker of soup, who lives in Coventry with his wife, Rachel. He has taught Geography in schools in Sussex, Surrey and the West Midlands since he earned BA in Geography with French and his PGCE from Sussex University in the early 1990s. Graham has dabbled in teaching EFL and leading UK summer school activities since 1988 and has also managed a language school. He has written materials for Collins Educational and ZigZag Education.
